President Isle’s Manager of Warehouse

Warehouse Managers oversee the operations of a warehouse, including all shipping and receiving. Warehouse Managers have buying responsibilities and make sure that the needed products are stocked in a timely manner.

Warehouse Managers schedule and oversee other warehouse workers, process invoices and shipping orders, while also maintaining warehouse inventory.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Manage staff of President Isle’s warehouse

  • Coordinate with direct reports to review all inventory needs and stock inventory

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Proven working experience in a similar role

  • Control and manage inventory

  • Oversee daily operation of warehouse

  • Inspect condition of tools and equipment

  • Enforce all company rules and regulations 

  • Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on each job

  • Communicate with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of products

  • Manage customer service request promptly and resolve issues quickly

  • Ensure safety of staff

  • Motivate & coach staff and provide disciplinary actions, if needed 

  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of condition and location of fleet vehicles

  • Assist with deliveries where required


Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

  • Attention to detail

  • Critical thinker, ability to meet deadlines 


Education & Experience:

  • Some college preferred, or 5 + years of warehouse management experience

  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedure

  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls

  • Ability to operate forklift efficiently

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal

  • Outstanding leadership, organizational multitask and problem-solving skills

  • Available to work extended hours

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and stand for long periods of time

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, and use repetitive motion

  • The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, such as in a typical warehouse

  • This role can be physically demanding and requires the ability to lift up to fifty (50) Pounds
